Each year our Alaska Chapter of The Association of Fundraising Professionals celebrates National Philanthropy Day in two ways on the same day:
1.) Bringing our community together to recognize philanthropic leaders during our awards lunch.
2.) A conference educating non-profit executives and development professionals who play a role in developing the resources of Alaska's non-profits.

About Martha H Schumacher, CFRE, ACFRE, MInstF(AdvDip)
This year the Alaska Chapter of AFP is happy to host Martha Schumacher, CFRE, ACFRE, MInstF(AdvDip) as our Keynote Speaker. Martha is the president of Hazen, Inc., providing effective fundraising solutions for non-profit organizations. She is an international philanthropic thought leader, consultant, author, speaker, coach and champion. Dedicated to unparalleled client service, Martha provides executive campaign counsel, and comprehensive major gifts strategy, training and coaching. Named Outstanding Professional Fundraiser of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals D.C. Chapter, Martha has been working with and within nonprofit organizations for 25 years. Martha lives with her husband Casey and two rescue dogs in Alexandria, VA. When she’s not traveling for business or pleasure, she enjoys hiking the Billy Goat Trail on the Potomac, taking in Washington’s vibrant culture, and breaking bread at wonderful “foodie” restaurants across the region.
